We kick off our 2019 events at Kington Langley Village Hall in fine style with the return of Michael Lavocah to the Magic Roundabout Milongas on Sunday 17th February. There will be a 90 minute talk about Carlos Di Sarli followed by a six hour milonga with DJs Bärbel Rücker and Michael Lavocah.
Tango Masters – Carlos Di Sarli
This is the third volume in the Tango Masters series which explores the music of the great orchestras of tango’s Golden Age in depth.
Michael will have all the English language books by Milonga Press available for sale at the Magic Roundabout Winter Warmer including the latest release ‘Our Tango World Vol 1: Learning and Community’ by Iona Italia.
Each book will be available on the day at the special price of £15.

Carlos Di Sarli: The Melody and the Mystery
Last year we had the great pleasure of a visit from Michael at Kington Langley and we are delighted to be able to repeat the experience. Michael’s latest book in the Tango Masters series is about the maestro Carlos Di Sarli and Michael will be giving a talk before the milonga entitled
‘Carlos Di Sarli: The Melody and the Mystery’.
Those of you who came last year will know Michael’s talks are highly engaging and informative, full of well researched information and enthusiastically presented and I am quite sure 90 minutes will not seem long enough!
The talk will run from 2pm to 3.30pm and it is strongly recommended you book in advance as spaces are limited to 30. The price is £10 in advance and £12 on the door (if not sold out).
After the talk at 3.30pm there is a six hour milonga with internationally renowned DJs Bärbel Rücker and Michael Lavocah playing the best traditional tango music. The price for the milonga is £15 payable on the door.
Soup and jacket potatoes, tea and coffee, cakes and snacks are all included as is an excellent sound system, sprung wooden dancefloor and free parking.
